Last week, the Aquatic Capital of America committee held its second Hall of Fame ceremony. The ACOA has run an annual awards banquet since its inception seven years ago, and added a Hall of Fame last year as a way to create permanent, separate recognition for the great water athletes from throughout the city’s history. Maintaining Fitness Goals With US Oarsman And Ironman Jack Nunn
You don’t have to be an Olympian to train like one. The following article was published July 3rd, 2017 and gives you a first hand interview from Jack and Voyage LA about his Roworx Fitness Center.
This program is great because it measures endurance, strength, fitness, mental toughness, and rowing technique all in one test. It can be used for all levels of athletes and since rowing is a low impact sport the benefits are seen and felt directly through the body and not by impact.
From runners, cyclists, rowers, and your average weekend warriors all use some sort of eyewear or helmet for safety and shielding from the intense sun that go along with any outdoor activity. Just about every athlete I know uses some sort of sunglasses/eyewear and or helmets during bike rides for cyclists/triathletes.
If you are like me and don’t have a background in swimming you will need all the help you can get and I have done enough Ironman and triathlon competitions around the world to give you the advice you need in order to get through your first race.
